Fire Your Boss: Find a Business Opportunity Online

These days, everybody seems to be looking for a business opportunity. And why is that? I guess the reason is everyone is sick of working for “the man”. Let’s face it — being your own boss is so much nicer. Also there is the allure of making lots of money.

Think of it, you spend your days in some dead-end job. You haven’t got much of a chance to make more than you do now. And that is not enough for your needs.

Then it is tempting to jump on some business opportunity, hoping you will get filthy rich overnight.

But I warn you: it’s a jungle out there. You can search Google and find more business opportunities than you can shake a stick at. On closer inspection, many of these are more or less worthless scams. There is for example the MLM scheme. Stay away from everything which looks like you are supposed to make money by recruiting a “downline”.

Rather, a legit business opportunity has to do with marketing a product or a service — something people actually want to buy. The type I prefer is the online business. Working over the Internet, you can get started very easily. You can set up a simple little web site and sell something there. You do not have to sell your own product. Many people make lots of cash promoting products and services provided by others.

You have web hosting for example. Many web hosting companies pay you like $100 just for sending them a new customer. I have personally made many thousands of dollars this way — as an affiliate. Actually, if you are getting started then the way to go is to be an affiliate — it is an online business opportunity which has advantages.

Still, you have some stumbling blocks. You need to know how to pick the right product or service to promote, and you must know how to get traffic to your web site. But the good news is you can get up and going with very little investment of time and money.
